A very special guy…

Some artists touch you directly and deeply in your heart/mind/guts.
When I first met Batlik, he was on stage – at EMB of course – and I was working upstairs. I just walked through the hall and… stopped. And stayed until the end of his show. There is nothing else to do with Batlik, just stop and listen.

Wondering about music future?

janvier 23rd, 2008 par elisa in Musik. · 2 commentaires

It seems obvious that music won’t disappear suddenly just because of illegal downloading. But maybe majors will. So… What will happen next?
That’s what I’m working about for my master’s thesis at school.
I think tht the artist might be the key. Indeed, shows will probably continue to exist and be source of business, so show producers would not be so damaged. But artists will have to find a way to exist without the comfortable frame of majors.
Here is my thesis : they would have to become a self-reliant brand, and only count on themselves to develop and sell their products.
If you have any ideas about this subject, they’re welcome.
